Bernard Liddle is a hill farmer’s son from Nidderdale, he carved a career in the Holstein breed society, serving as board member and president, helping the Dalesend herd to become one of the best in the UK. He has been a judge at the Dairy Championships at the GYS and is the Author of ‘Oh – if only I had written it down!" The book recalls the highs and lows of farming life, and is full of the stories of the people he has met and the places he has visited. The book shows the transformation of the Yorkshire Dales from farming community to holiday destination.
